A Bristol Palin photo shoot is being planned, GOP sources are saying. Sarah Palin's daughter will work with photographer Annie Lebovitz to get some pictures of the girl to show off her pregnancy and confront the issue head on. Vanity Fair is expected to handle it as a cover story.
"It's a smart move," noted columnist George Will, "because if they just let it fester it could hurt more. By dealing with it up front like that, they can normalize the situation."
The choice of Lebovitz was apparently based on the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo shoot back in April. Palin spokesman Bill McAllister said that while it was controversial, "Bristol felt that Lebovitz is best suited to understand her, due to her experience shooting other controversial young figures."
The Bristol Palin photo shoot will take place at an undisclosed location, apparently thanks to a tip from Dick Cheney on finding such places.
