Former Vice-President Al Gore and Britney Spears will join the cast of the upcoming Dukes of Hazzard II. Gore will play Boss Hogg while Spears will appear as Daisy Duke's identical twin cousin.
Al Gore's participation in the film is conditioned on a story line that dramatizes global warming. As a result, the Duke boys drive around in a Toyota Prius with a confederate flag paint job. Gore's Boss Hogg character will, as the bad guy, continue to drive around in a large gas-guzzling vehicle.
Meanwhile, the film's producers have also landed Britney Spears to play alongside Jessica Simpson as cousins. The "identical twin cousin" bit is meant to be funny, though critics have already suggested that joke will wear thin quickly. The two pop stars are already working on a video where they wash the Prius together.
Al Gore also insisted that, for artistic reasons, the film should include a threesome between himself, Spears and Simpson. Spears said she was up for it, and Simpson asked what kind of card game Gore was talking about. When the threesome scene was filmed, Ashton Kutcher punked Gore, putting Tipper Gore and Hillary Clinton in the scene instead.
