image for Flowerpot Man Disappears Days Before Comeback Due
Ben's empty pot yesterday. Troubled star was said to have been "a bit down"

Kiddies favourite, Ben the flowerpot man, one half of iconic duo, Bill and Ben the flowerpot men, has stunned BBC top brass by going missing just days before his new series was to be aired on CBBC.

A spokesman for the broadcaster told The Spoof:

"We're all gutted here at TV Centre. We've ploughed a lot of money into the new show and now Ben's gone and blown it!"

The Spoof understands that the troubled star had been described recently by his long time pal, Bill, as being a bit down. The co-star went on to comment:

"Uddap buddap slobbadap. Buddap buddap pobbledap" before breaking down inconsolably.

It's understood that Little Weed, Ben's estranged wife, has been upset by developments but has so far elected to keep quiet on the affair.

This isn't the first time that the flowerpot men have been involved in controversy as readers may well remember that back in the sixties Bill was accused of being in possession of three bags of John Innes Potting Compost. The case was thrown out however when the star enlisted the help of top barrister Perry Mason.

Police have requested that members of the public don't approach Ben if they see him as he is believed to be dangerous. Instead they should call the BBC and keep him under observation until help arrives.

Make Duff's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
