Fox News has bid $1 million, and there is speculation others will offer more. Unconfirmed leaks suggest Kristen may talk about Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, or even Hillary Clinton in the interview.
A source at Fox indicates that Kristen's story is not what many expect. There was reportedly no sex between Kristen and Spitzer. Instead, he just wanted to talk discreetly with someone outside his inner circle. Initially this revelation threatened to lower the price for an interview, but Kristen has information on other prominent political figures.
The Fox source was cagey on this. The Spoof reporter suggested some names. When Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were mentioned, the source smiled. John McCain drew a frown. Upon hearing "Hillary," the source cackled, took a drag on a cigarette, and said, "You're onto something Mulder," while disappearing into a parking garage.
TheSpoof.com's crack investigative team has been unable to find any prominent public figures named Mulder. There is an Iowa State Senator named Dave Mulder, but no one cares about Iowa.
Fox expects to close the deal in a couple of days and air the interview Thursday during prime time.
