image for Bowen Link Shock
Too early for Jeremy?

BBC Breakfast host Jeremy Bowen didn't mumble a link yesterday. The incident occurred at around 8.24 am when Bowen introduced the weather. Distressed viewers phoned the BBC to say they could hear Bowen and he had announced the correct time.

John Winter from London said "It was a shock. We usually have the sound turned right up to catch what he says. Suddenly his voice was blasting out loud and clear. Nearly woke up our baby. It's disgusting".

Another viewer, Tim Harris said "I'm so used to adding on an hour to Jeremy's time checks that when he said it was 8.24 I rolled over and had another lie-in thinking it was about 7.30. I was late for work. I think it's disgusting".

TheSpoof asked Bowen for a comment "Well, mmbembbb er, erm, mmbzzz Sophie?" he said.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
