Pink gets her toenails done - no black, no Britney Spears

The battle among pop stars continues as singer and songwriter Pink (Alecia Moore) said that Britney Spears is "not a true artist." Pink had mentioned Britney by name in a song from earlier in her career, saying that she's "tired of being compared to damned Britney Spears," and the Pink song "Stupid Girls" is widely considered a reference to Spears as well.

Some feel Pink should relax a little, since her career has essentially defined her in contrast to Spears and other bubble-gum pop stars like Christina Aguilera. Paris Hilton said that Pink should "lighten up ... try wearing something a little sexy ... and it would be nice if she'd learn how to dance too."

The contrast in music seems to be creating some clear divisions, with Prince and Lauryn Hill falling into the artist camp, and Jessica Simpson and Justin Timberlake on the entertainer side. Supporters of Aguilera and Timberlake insist they are artists and belong on both sides, and many agree that Timberlake likes to go both ways. Most agree Paris Hilton belongs in neither camp, but then again they wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers - or driving while intoxicated.

Still, Pink's career appears to be rising and the color pink is becoming more and more popular, in part due to her rising star. With all this going on, colors like red and black are fading and pink may be the new black. Some say Pink has had black and will never go back, while many men have said they like being in the pink.
