image for Hilary Duff Feels Pressure to be Thin
Is Hilary getting to skinny? Measure for yourself.

Actress, singer, and teen starlet Hilary Duff says that she feels pressure from the media and fans to stay thin, even with the mixed messages about current waif models. "Everyone expects me to be skinny and have my ribs sticking out, but at the same time, they tell me I should eat more and not be anorexic. I just don't understand," said the actress.

"For example, when go to McDonalds. they generally serve me a kid's McNugget meal, regardless if I want a double quarter pounder, and then they take back half the nuggets and fries and won't give me anything but a Diet Coke and no ketchup or dipping sauce. They say it's the models diet."

"After I eat, they make sure and clear the way to the bathroom so that I can go and throw it all up. If they expect me to barf it away anyway, why can't I get an apple pie with it and all my french fries?"

The only good thing about eating at McDonalds with fans around, says Duff, is "at least I get to keep my Happy Meal toy. Now that I'm 19, too, no one tries to tell me I have to eat all of my food before I can play with it!"

When asked if she had other problems besides McDonalds, Hilary said that "since Britney got out of her famous panty free limo, everyone tries aiming their cameras at my crotch every time I sit down. There's this one photographer named Filbert who won't leave me alone! He is always mumbling something about stars and points and doing a whole series on me if I'll just show him the honey pot."

"I guess I'm also in the middle on this weight thing. Britney's now fat and bald and Paris and Nicole are way too skinny, so people are pulling me both ways. There is one good thing, at least I don't look like Rosie O'Donnell!"
