Harry Potter. Putting the willies up some kids earlier

Little known author, KJ Roly-Poly is starting a court case against Ian Fleming, the author of the Harry Potter Trilogy.

The three books have made a fortune around the world from sales alone, before you even begin to look at royalties generated as a result of kids' meals at popular burger joints and film rights etc.

Roly-Poly told our Arts Correspondent:

"I've been well done up here. Fleming found the manuscripts when I left them on a train several years ago and he's had my ideas lock stock and barrel. Well I want what's mine and I'm going to get it!"

A spokesman for Ian Fleming said:

"My client's saying nothing over this but consider this if you will. He has been responsible for Starsky and Hutch, Colombo, Cagney and Lacey and Poirot, so his track record is impeccable. What has this Roly-Poly ever done?

The boy wizard's antics look set to be on hold until the legal eagles unravel this one though and that's bad news for Daniel Ratcliffe who's signed up to play Frodo in the trilogy. He said:

"They'd need to get their finger out pronto to sort this as none of us are getting any younger and there's only so much that can be done with make-up and computer effects"

Make Duff's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
