image for Is It A Zombie? or Practically Nude Man Sleepwalking in Snow!
"TAKE IT AWAY!!"

What most people saw in the Massachusetts Wellesley College area was a practically naked man either sleepwalking or in a frozen Zombie-like Trance!

Whatever it was, the Headmaster immediately called the campus police and the local sheriff, who made a quick run to the campus.

When they encountered the man, they first told him to "FREEZE!!" and then felt funny because they were almost frozen themselves and this guy or thing was only wearing briefs. And that 'freeze' is exactly what he did.

They then saw that he wasn't moving at all and slipped up on him, finding that he was a life-like sculpture of a nearly nude male sleepwalking-like in the snow.

The sculpture entitled "Sleepwalker" -that of a man in an eyes-closed, zombie-like trance, is part of an exhibit by sculptor Tony Matelli at the college's Davis Museum. It was placed at a busy area of campus on Monday, but no one saw it for awhile because of a snowstorm.

The sculpture is a "source of apprehension, fear, and triggering thoughts regarding sexual assault" for many, according to the petition, which had nearly 400 signees turned in by this afternoon.

However, the whole thing depends upon a judge's ruling on if the statue is art or a cause of fear for students and those in the neighborhood.

"The very best works of art have the power to stimulate deeply personal emotions and to provoke unexpected new ideas, and this sculpture is no exception," a written statement by Museum Director Lisa Fishman said. The sculpture "has started an impassioned conversation about art, gender, sexuality and individual experience, both on campus and on social media."

"Whatever this 'so-called Masterpiece' is, it's now an object of snowball fights and college girls running up and peeking under the underwear and daring the next", stated Ruth Cockerill, a local leader in the community.

"I can also tell you this: It is anatomically correct under those little tiny briefs."

Wonder how she knew?
