image for Liam Hemsworth and Nelissa Nelson Engaged
The young couple are supposedly engaged, with Nelissa being spotted wearing what looked like an engagement ring.

It seems that an engagement is on the horizon for British ballerina and model Nelissa Nelson who rose to fame playing Princess Odette in the widely successful Swan Lake.

The 23 year old young star has been dating Australian actor Liam Hemsworth on and off for the past 5 years but it looks as though their relationship will be moving to a new level with Liam claiming that "Nelissa is the one" and that he can't wait to make her all his.

Although no official confirmation has come from the Nelson/Hemsworth representatives, sources close to the stars say that both Nelissa and Liam attended a close family occasion last weekend and seemed "overly enjoyed" on their return to their Los Angeles home.

Unfortunately these speculations of Nelson' engagement have not gone down too well with the Parents Television Council, who claim that she is setting a bad example for young adolescents by getting married at such a young age. This is not the first time Nelissa has come under fire from the PTC with various incidents including her recent photo scandal with Liam's obscene- (but nevertheless funny) 22nd birthday cake.

When confronted about the allegations coming from the PTC, Nelson exclaimed "I cannot keep living my life for others, of course I want to be a good role model for my fans but I'm not the only role model in their life...that's where their parents come in! I cannot be the thing everyone wants me to be, so I'm just gonna be me and people either have to like that or not".

Nelson was also asked to confirm rumours of her engagement but failed to give an answer, however it can be confirmed that Nelson was wearing what looked to be an engagement ring on her ring finger but it was partially covered by her vintage Marc Jacobs long sleeve cross over.

Nelson and Hemsworth will both be attending the 15th annual Nickelodeon kid's choice awards, with Nelson herself nominated for Best Role in a Ballet and Most Popular Young Female Ballerina.

Make neliam's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
