image for The Reason The American Advertising Alliance Pulled Taylor Swift's CoverGal Makeup Ad

CLEVELAND - Country music singing sensation Taylor Swift had just finished performing at The WWW Dot Coliseum in Cleveland when she was quickly whisked away to her backstage dressing room by an assistant.

Apparently Taylor had gotten a call from a representative with the CoverGal Cosmetic Corporation informing her that they were pulling her advertisements for True Goddess Mascara Goo.

The reason given was because CoverGal had received a very strongly worded 636 word letter of complaint from The American Advertisers Alliance.

The 3A group stated that they had been swamped with hundreds of phone calls and emails complaining that the makeup ad featuring Taylor Swift claimed that if a young woman used the particular product that she would literally have the guys lining up to ask her out on a date.

3A noted that the claim was not only misleading and very unethical, but it was virtually impossible that it or any cosmetic could hope to achieve such desirable results.

CoverGal noted that the advertisement's writer Spencer Schembeckler, 29, was actually fined $17,900 by The American Advertisers Alliance. He reportedly is appealing the fine but as a longtime employee with 3A said, Mr. Schembeckler is merely pissing in the wind.

FOOTNOTE: Grilletta Brewburger with Yippee-Ki-Yay Magazine is reporting that Taylor Swift was so devastated by the proceedings that she actually broke out in hives. Luckily for her, her bass player carries a tube of Hives-Be-Gone Salve in his guitar case.

Make Abel Rodriguez's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
