image for Steps reform as 'Stairs'
'Stairs' aka 'Steps' in rehearsals

Popular 90's beat combo 'Steps' are to make a comeback under the new name 'Stairs' due to legal complications.

The band - the tall fit one, the bird with Hitler hair, the fat one, the gay one and the other one - will do a nationwide tour including Catford, Merthyr Tydfil and Newton Abott Garden Centre.

'Many people said it was a tragedy when we parted. No pun intended. So we were always keen to get back together when the time was right. I've just been made redundant by Poundland while the others are either out of work or homeless or in Lee's case both' commented band member Faye Tozer AKA the fit one.

'However we can no longer use the previous name so we thought 'Stairs' was apt as it represents the ups and the downs! You know because you can go up stairs and down!!'

Fellow singer 'H' will now be known as 'P' due to the name 'H' being sold to actor Robert Lindsay for use in the hugely funny BBC comedy 'My Family'.
