Jessica Simpson Admits She is Dating Her Father

Just weeks after officially announcing that she and Nick Lachey were calling it quits, blonde bombshell, singing sensation Jessica Simpson announced in an interview Monday that she has been dating her father, Joe for the last two months.
Simpson told this to a reporter in an interview with the Toronto News Magazine, "Toronto Nightly." Simpson has been in Toronto for the last three days shooting her latest music video.
"It's true and I can't hide it anymore," said Simpson in the interview which will be aired Friday night. "I've always had a special bond with Daddy and now we are closer than ever," she added. "You know, I spent so long looking for love everywhere and I just recently realized that I had it right at home all along."
Rumors began to circulate when paparazzi photos captured the two of them kissing on a beach in Cabo San Lucas during the holidays.
Joe Simpson has always had an active role in his daughter's career and in her personal life. Jessica's virginity and insistence on abstaining from premarital sex were widely publicized prior to her marriage to Lachey. Many believe that it was Joe's closeness to Jessica and his involvement in all aspects of her life and career that helped contribute to the demise of her marriage.
Though Joe could not be reached for comment, a spokesperson for him said that he "has never been happier and is very much smitten with Jess."
Jessica remained coy and tightlipped during the interview when asked about her plans for the future with Joe.
"Right now we are just taking it one step at a time. We don't want to rush into anything. We're having fun and lots of it," said Simpson with that ear-to-ear grin she has became famous for. She did, however, admit that she is not quite sure where it is going. "There is a definite age difference, but Daddy is young at heart and I think that's what matters most."
Jessica's younger sister, Ashlee was unavailable for comment, though one source close to her stated that Ashlee is "weirded out by the whole thing" and "felt that it was her Joe was really after at one point and not Jessica."
Nick Lachey would not return our phonecalls.
Jessica closed out the interview by stating that she hopes to take some time off in the spring, keep a low profile and "really get to know her father well.....both inside and out."
