A new transportation giant will be created when Cunard Ship Lines merges with Aero Lingus. The new company, to be named Cun-A-Lingus, will be the largest company of its type in the world.
Richard Licker, a spokesman for the merged company, said that "we foresee Cun-A-Lingus as bringing a lot of pleasure to travelers around the world. Whether people prefer to go down on a ship for their vacations or to fly to new heights, Cun-A-Lingus will be there to make their trip a wonderful and fulfilling experience."
"Cun-A-Lingus expects to be providing our passengers with our special services, at reasonable rates, for many years to come. Whether you are experiencing us for the first time or are a seasoned, well traveled veteran, we're sure that Cun-A-Lingus can always make your day better."
While some doubters thought that the story smelled "a little fishy," Licker promised that everything was on the up and up.
