image for IMF Expects World Economy to have Slow Recovery
Sorry, wrong IMF. No real money at this one.

In an interview in his Paris office, Jim Phelps of the IMF said that he thought that the world would have a slow recovery from the current bad economy. He added, however, that this was not his field of study and that we were probably interviewing the wrong IMF.

When pressed, Phelps said that he worked for the Impossible Missions Force and not the International Monetary Fund. To clarify, he showed us pictures of his team, with people by the names of Barney Collier, Willy Armitage, Cinnamon Carter, Rollin Hand, and Paris (who looked strangely like Leonard Nimoy from Star Trek).

As further proof, he pressed a button on his answering machine. The recording said "Good Morning, Mr. Phelps" and then told us that told us the tape would self destruct in five seconds. We laughed at the strange message for a few seconds, and this explains the burns on our hands and faces.

Make Jalapenoman's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
