image for Jeremy Clarkson On Gordon Brown
Brown's good eye

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has defended his decision to call Prime Minister Gordon Brown a "one-eyed Scottish idiot" in an interview with Australian journalists in Sydney, saying that he did so in "an entirely economic sense".

The presenter had been asked by the reporters for his take on the economic crisis. Educated at Intake Comprehensive in Doncaster, Clarkson replied:

"Er, yes. It's a bit of a mess."

The Doncaster Dolt then went on to say Mr Brown was "a liar", and criticised Australian PM Kevin Rudd, calling him "a tosspot".

Clarkson said today that he stands by his comments. He said:

"I was asked about Mr Brown's ability to lead the country out of the current economic crisis, and I said that I thought it would be difficult for any Scot to do so, particularly when that Scot happens to be half-blind."

He went on and on:

"I won't have to say sorry. I'm Jeremy Clarkson, and I don't do sorry."

This evening, BBC bosses are holding an emergency meeting to discuss sending Clarkson to the same Naughty Stair that Jonathan Ross has recently been sat on.
