image for Crisis in Algeria as Price of Camels Rises

In the beautiful North African country of Algeria the government is saying that the price of camels has risen to its highest price ever because of the credit crisis.

A camel now costs 100,000 dinars but only in March they were only 70000 dinars! This means they have gone up by almost 50%!

Many desert nomads in the Sahara Desert have changed from camels to motorbikes because gasoline is cheaper than camels!

The government Algerie say that when the oil and gasoline gets cheaper again the camels will become cheap again also. They should enjoy been famous until they become cheap again! Thats funny!

Make Farida Benamar's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
