Protests were held today in London, Glasgow and Belfast to demand that the government spends as much money as possible in order to increase the national debt.
It is estimated that as many as 10,000 people may have turned out to show their discontent with the current government policy, which aims to attempt to reduce the country's debt burden.
"It's complete madness," said one protester. "The country is spending money that it doesn't have, and the government says they should spend less! Madness, I tell you."
Another protester said that Britain needs to follow the example of Greece in "properly letting spending get out of control."
The protesters have threatened to hold a national strike, which would cost the country an estimated £1 billion per day, increasing the country's debt and greatly pleasing the pro-debt camp.
