An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman are applying for participation in a cross desert expedition. They are asked what they would do to cope with oppressive desert heat.

The Englishman says he would take an umbrella to provide shade.

The Scotsman says he would wear a kilt so the air keeps his legs cool.

The Irishman says he would carry a car door.

When asked why, he replied "When it gets hot I just wind the window down."
