Two Irishmen, Patty and Mike, enter an old boarding house to comfort a sick friend who is not expected to live.
They have to climb to the top floor on a narrow twisting staircase. At the top, they knock and enter the dark damp musty room and muster all cheer they can for their old pal.
"My! You look good!" says Patty.
"Yes. indeed you do!" says Mike. "Why, you'll be up and at'em in no time at all! Just look at the color in your cheeks!"
Patty says with a smile. After a short exchange of family news and humor, Patty and Mike head for the door.
Looking down the narrow staircase Mike hollers out, "Ya know Patty, They'll never get his coffin up these stairs!"
