How I Helped The Poor Bicycle Guy

There's this young guy in my office and every day he brings in an old dirty, pitted bicycle wheel and puts it next to his desk. I couldn't figure out why.

Then one day it hit me. He can't afford a whole bicycle.

I'm a big believer in helping my fellow man, so I put $500 in an envelope with a note inside, "Please accept this and buy yourself a complete bicycle...signed "A Friend."

The result shocked me.

The next day he arrives with a brand new spotless wheel.

I was stunned that he used $500 to buy one wheel and pocketed the rest.

I guess it proves that "no good deed goes unpunished."
