To boost popularity for the flagging NASA space program, they decided to send the president into space with two cute, adorable chimpanzees.

On the ground, many observers were worried with the sophistication of the mission but NASA experts felt sure all would go to plan.

The launch went smoothly and at 10 miles above the Earth mission control contacted the shuttle, "Mission Control to monkey one, Mission Control to monkey one, please disengage auxiliary fuel reserves"

Monkey one successfully programmed his console and the auxiliary fuel reserves were deployed.

20 miles above the earth, Mission Control came back on the radio, "Mission Control to Monkey 2, Mission control to Monkey 2, reduce thrust and adjust trajectory"

Monkey 2 performed his task, and the shuttle continued on its course.

50 miles above the earth, Mission Control activated the radio again, "Mission Control to the President, Mission Control to the President, FEED THE MONKEYS!!"
