He's assumed room temperature!

Why do police, doctors, coroners say that? "Looks like he's assumed room temperature alright."

It doesn't make sense. Room temperature changes with whatever the thermometer says it is.

Let's say it's 90 degrees. Someone says "He's assumed room temperature".

Then get down there and puff on him some more. It's ALWAYS room temperature.

Now, if it was, say, 32 degrees in here. I'd leave the poor stiff alone.

Just come out and say, "Dead as a Hammer!" That I get. I mean, the hammer was once a living tree. Now it's dead!"
