A Rabbi and a Catholic priest are praying in the same church one day. The Rabbi is in a pew before the altar and the priest directly behind him. The Rabbi, head bowed, mutters tearfully into his beard. "Have mercy on me Lord. Although I have tried to live a blameless life my sins are many. Please find it in your heart to forgive me."

The priest hearing every word jumps to his feet immediately and cries out: "Lord don't listen to that bastard! Forgive me! I'm a far bigger sinner than he is!"
