When I was in high school I used to get a lot of dates because of Old Faithful. The young lady would even be dating someone else on a regular basis we used to call "steady" but she would still go out with me because of "Old Faithful"
See this was back in 1955 and not many of the rural lads had a car at all and I came up with this old junker that I had the best mechanic in town fix up in great running condition. (I had found Dad's billfold in the couch cushion and helped myself until he found it later where I planted it, minus $200.)
"Old Faithful" was a car folks. What did you think it was? It always got us to the drive in and back safely. Dates hated to come home being towed by a wrecker as was usual in those days. They knew they would get to see the latest movie with Rock Hudson who was gay as I was.
