"Imagine" Re-imagined by the Tea Party

Imagine there's no Gospel
It's easy if you try
No poor people around us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the poor, going hungry today

Imagine there's no taxes
It isn't hard to do
No roads or schools
Or any bridges too
Imagine all the potholes, ruining all your cars

You may say
That I'm angry, but I'm not the only one.
I hope one day you'll join us--
The Tea Party hillbilly bums!

Imagine no free lunches
I wonder if you can
Kids going to school hungry
The poverty of man
Imagine all the poor, denied their daily bread!

You may say
I'm a good ol' boy, but I'm not the only one.
I hope one day you'll join us-
The Tea Party hillbilly bums!

Imagine no free handouts
(I don't know if I can
Since I live in a Red State
Where we depend on Uncle Sam.)

You may say
I'm a hypocrite, but I'm not the only one
I hope one day you'll join us--
The Tea Party hillbilly bums!
