Furious Congressmen are saying that Barack Obama 'pre-recorded' his Inauguration Oath with a back-up track in case of any unforseeable problems.
The pre-recorded vow was then broadcast to the assembled crowds with Obama 'lip sync-ing' the famous words.
Of course, that claim is hotly disputed by presidential aides.
However it's not the first time a US President has resorted to miming in public.
During his 1988 White House campaign President George Bush Senior was accused of barely moving his lips to a pre-decided GOP hardline austerity agenda.
But he was eventually outed by Manhattan cabbies after his dire 'Watch My Lips, No New Taxis' election promise.
