Rioting broke out in central Athens again today as thousands of hungry protesters, fed up of standing in line outside a bakery for 24 hours, began taking it out on city cops.
During one scuffle local father of five Costas Papilotis was manhandled roughly by crowd control officers who then threw him in the back of a van before lecturing him on good citizenship.
They then sent him go home - empty handed of course - where the Missus bewailed her husband's fruitless shopping skills.
"Things are actually a lot more terrible than we all thought, Athena," the exasperated man said.
"Not only is there no bread in the whole of Athens but the cops have run out of bullets and CS gas!"
