Farmer George and Farmer William always competed hard for the best pig in show at the County Show. For six years straight, George's prize boar Napoleon had been the champion, but William's Attila was always a close second.
Last year, William was surprised that George and Napoleon didn't turn up, and Attila walked off with the Best in Show acclaim. On his way home, he decided to call on George to check that everything was OK (and also to gloat!). He wondered if perhaps Napoleon has passed away.
George greeted him at the gate and William told him proudly about the show. After a while he enquired if Napoleon was sick or there was some other reason that they had not competed this year.
George pointed over to the pen, " No, the lad's over there." he said.
"Oh my God!" exclaimed William, "He's got a wooden leg! What on earth happened to him?
"Well," said George, "A beast that good, you don't eat all in one go."
