At our annual ecumenical gathering held at the church, each of the ministers had a different part in the service. The minister in charge of the sermon had just celebrated his birthday and proudly displayed his new sash, a gift. He also mentioned that his gown had been a birthday present a few years earlier.
"It's not every day," one of the other ministers pointed out to the congregation, "that you hear your sermon from a guy in his birthday suit."
