Anthropologist: This is a mobile 'phone. It works like the radio you have, but you can talk to the person at the other end.

Amazon Native: I like the radio, but I will never use one of those things.

Anthropologist: But your children will use one of these to talk to people in the other villages.

Amazon Native: My children will never use one of those things.

Anthropologist: One day the whole tribe will use one of these!

Amazon Native: No - the chief has spoken, we will never use one of those things. We are saving to buy a Blackberry - it is good in weak signal areas.
