Dear Spoof

In response to your previous correspondent, let us all pray that the air be clearer, and the sun shine brightly on the righteous few in the vicinity of The Strand today.

HUZZAH!

I liked this a lot Frankie. It's whimsical, entertaining, and amusing.

Obviously, I can't speak for anyone else, but it held my attention, and although it's long, it's an easy read. It flows, it's vibrant, and it's well constructed.

I'm not really qualified in any way to take on the role of a critic, although what I will say is that the kind of writing which appeals to me personally is the kind which paints pictures using words, and this does that. (Picture's a bit Salvador Dali, but it works for me. I'd like to know more about the judge.)

It's one of the reasons why I love the Magazine section of the Spoof - it's unique in that it allows writers to spread their wings and try something different. It also allows feedback, and gives the writer some impression as to what works and what doesn't.

I hope you get more feedback on these pieces from people better qualified than me. And I hope it encourages others to experiment.

This whole series works for me. I understand it's part of a longer project, and I think a very worthwhile project.

All the very best,

Skoob.

Get well soon Chief.

My very own dear old dad got taken ill this week, so I know how you feel.

I hope you aren't quite as ill as he was though. I'm a bit tied up making funeral arrangements right now. (True, that is.)

And then blame somebody else for it.
