And I have no idea on Abel's...sorry.

Quote: Abel Rodriguez

"Barefoot girl dancin' in the moonlight."

Nick,

The lyrics line was from "Green River" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Abel,

I'm a huge fan of The Association and wish they'd had a longer and more successful career. My favorite by them was probably Cherish. Your's was a little too easy.

Next:

"Sometimes, I've been to crying for unborn children"

Jalapenoman,

I liked The Association also. They had some fantastic harmonies. My song line quote was from their hit "Along Comes Mary."

I also liked their songs "Windy" and "Never My Love."

Bureau, the line you entered was from Bruce Springsteen's "Incident On 57th Street."

My one:

"You knew it didn't cost the earth, but for what it's worth.."

Skoob,

That line is from Rod Stewart's "You Wear It Well."

Here's one: The songs are left unsung and hung upon the scars.

Skoob and Queen Mudder,

I hope the weather settles down for all of our good British friends.

So I guess that you get hit with three weather fronts, Russia, Europe, and the Atlantic. That is sure ripe for that dreaded "Perfect Storm" we hear about.

It's a good thing y'all don't get them old earthquakes like the folks out on America's Left Coast do.

Skoob, now that you have merged your English garden with your neighbors did you end up with any veggies, fruits, or (crumpets)?

Stay dry. Take care.

And Skoob let me say that I throughly enjoyed your 20 Chapter Series on The Inbred Mutant Hoody Zombie Teen Stalk 'N' Slash Massacre."

That will always be a Spoof site "Classic" from the talented keyboard of one of the very best.

Jalapenoman,

I had posted another thread in regards to your Chupacabra story before I had seen this one.

It is a definite 5*s story.

I especially liked the "Chupito" reference. And now that you mention it, I am surprised that some network exec hasn't jumped on the Chupacabra as a children's cartoon character. Afterall, nowadays, there is nothing that scares kids.

J-Man, I know one thing the Chupacabra cartoon, or "El Chupito" cartoon would definitely be a hit in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Colorado.

And to reassure the Taco Bell customers, as you stated there is no chupacabra meat in the new Chalupacabra product.

And to any PETA people who may be reading this. I would just like to reiterate what Jalapenoman said about no animals being harmed in the making of the Chalupacabra commercial.

Now regarding the rumor going around that one of the baby armadillos was hurt in the drive-thru window scene. Yes it's true, but it was 100 percent the fault of the baby armadillo. He did not pay attention to the director's instructions.

He was airlifted by helicopter to the Las Cruces Holy Cross Animal Hospital where he is resting comfortably and he should be released in two days.

Again J-Man, a job well done.

Abel

Skoob,

Mrs. Cunningham's real name was Marion Ross.

The spoof western that Ann Margret appeared in with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kirk Douglas was The Villian. However, in the United Kingdom it was released as Cactus Jack.

Quote: Madame Bitters

They've found a few dead chupacabras over the last decade or so but never a live one. A couple of ranchers shot one as it was eating one of their hens.

Well, people are pretty sure that's what they are. Scientists tested the animal's DNA and it came back like 98% dog and the missing 2% is unknown. It's a new species.

They look like a cross between a dog and a coyote- but hairless. The skin looks like psoriasis. I think they have 2 rows of teeth too.

Chupacabra translates to 'goat sucker' right, Abel?

Madame Bitters,

Yes, the name Chupacabra literally means "Goat Sucker."

And if someone has not seen photos, you can go into Google Images and you will see some.

Queen Mudder,

You are right on the money! I thought that Victoria Reggie Kennedy was going to end up kissing the ushers and the motorcycle police before she got around to Michelle.

The "First Mama" was so mad she was turning purple.

And regarding Dubya...poor guy looked darn right scared. It looked like he was afraid that someone was going to ask him a question about the WMD's.

As for the "Red Look." I think that it might just be from partaking of the Cerveza de la Estrellita (Lone Star Beer).

The following are actual names of candies. They are taken from the Internet:
  • Gummi Roadkill
  • Cyber Sticks
  • Toxic Waste
  • Virgin Sours
  • Penguin Caffeinated Mints
  • Lippy Chicks
  • Uncle Joe's Mint Balls

Any suggestions for some "New" candy names?

Morse,

Thank you for your kind words.

The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce should start scheduling parades on a daily basis so, as you stated, hopefully it rains on one of those random parades.

And of interest to our friend, mate, and amigo Skoob regarding that liquid beverage known as beer: Local beer distributors are all reporting record-breaking sales.

And San Francisco Onion, one point that you made that really stands out is that with the temperatures being very warm that means that the waters of the Gulf of Mexico are also very hot, and as everyone knows that is what feeds a hurricane.

And that warm water is what can easily take a category 2 hurricane like Ike, which devastated Galveston last September and turn it into a category 5, like Hurricane Camille which in 1969, slammed into the Gulfport-Biloxi (Mississippi) area with devastating winds of 190 mph.

So far it has been a very quite hurricane season, but I've seen times when all of a sudden three will pop up south of Cuba and set their sights on (as Sarah Palin calls 'em) "The Lower 48."

And echoing Skoob and Philbert of Macadamia, "Hands Across The Ocean."

Take care. And everyone keep up the excellent writing.

Abel

Bureau,

Regarding the drought. The National Weather Agency is saying that it is the worst drought to hit Texas since the 1950's (60 years).

And here in San Antonio for the past 40 days we have had 100 plus temperatures.

It is strange to hear, but a lot of people down here are saying that we need a hurricane to bring some rain.

Of course we all have seen what Hurricane Ike did to Galveston last year.

Perhaps the governor can hire a Kickapoo rain dancer from Wisconsin.

Take care and keep up the good work.

Hasta Later,
Abel
