Angus Stone - Broken Brights

I have no other reason to love this song aside from the fact it's a beautifully written song.

Believe me....I know. My uncle, who just turned 80, always says, "Growing older isn't for sissies."

Clive - Only teenagers talk like that!

That's a real ranch...I drove by it on the way back from MD Anderson. It was the only thing aside from a few emails that made me laugh in 3 days.

Confession: I use facebook. I use it to post pics of my daughter because I was tired of sending the same pictures to 50 different family members.

NONE of my friends post the way you do!

Who, aside from 14-20 year old girls (and Clive), talk like that?

This song, written and performed by my best friend:

Check out Postcards

Maybe it's because I know him, and I know what it's about and what he was feeling when he wrote it, but it made me cry when I heard it.

Enjoy...

Next year when I teach kindergarten, I'll have to read to the cat!

I also think "Be alert to shok" is sound advice.

Clive - Bewitched? Really?

What version of Bewitched did you guys have in Britian?

But, no....I'm more like this:

Cop Rock

(Greatest moments in American TV history can be found in the hit show: Cop Rock.)

Because, why wouldn't you want to watch a show that has cops who can sing and dance? Plus, all the other things that go with cop shows: killing, arresting, blood, murder, Miranda Rights, kissing, and romance.)

In my defense, I saw 2 episodes of Cop Rock while in college because I didn't want to study for astronomy lab.

When Twitter does that it means (I think) they think you'd be interested in those tweets or following those people. I am sure there is a way to opt out from getting those messages.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. I would be nothing without mine. Granted I know it's tomorrow, but I'll be driving all day.

I have always thought that slathering meant "to lay something on thick." My dad slathers butter on his toast. Never knew why. Gross!

And, yes, I can assure people that Skoob is a good guy. He has always had a kind heart towards me and the stuff I have going on healthwise.

We have all seen fantastic writing on this site, and I've always said that several of our writers could go mano a mano with someone from The Onion and come out on top. I think Skoob sees that as well, and sees The Spoof as some place special.

That said, I don't know where the anomisity between the two of you originates from, but please just ignore each other or sort it out via PMs and maybe (hopefully) you'll realize it's all a misunderstanding.

Peace and pancakes,
Ellie

I actually miss dancing like that. I used to dance almost every day...ballroom, latin, C&W, jitterbug.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Good thing my daughter loves dancing as much as I do.

Skoob - I imagine it'll be a lot like this:

Neighborhood Watch Trailer

(Now that I know it has the guy from The IT Crowd, I'll actually watch the movie.)

What I want to know, is will you both have flashing lights on the roof of your respective cars, and have "TO PROTECT AND SERVE" painted on the doors?

Come on, be honest...

Congrats

Skoob.

Abel, RG, JO and EQ - Thanks.

Edit: And thanks to POM who was writing this as I was writing my thanks.

And RG, I only wish I could relocate to Dorking. It would beat the summers where I currently reside. Know what the ambient temp of my car read? 101. That's right. And, I don't even reside in the armpit of Texas.

Ellie

p.s. RG - Go for it. Write the spoof!

I have a new man in my llife....his name is Rusty. He's part Retriever/part shepard.

Odd thing is though, he doesn't know how to fetch! He is, however, the sweetest dog I think I've ever met.

Yes....there was a time when they tried to do that. However, it didn't stick. Thankfully!

Because it's not like you'd get a place like McDonald's to change a millenium of marketing would ya? And, they do own our food supply.

That dog looks lovely. I thought French Fry's were renamed Freedom Fry's in America?
