Extract from Article:
"Mom, can you pack me lunch today? And pleaseā€¦don't make it embarrassing." Anna-11 As parents, there are many ways we can ruin our children's lives. The possibilities are endless. An embarrassing lunch, however, seems to have been overlooked and hasn't been given enough attention. A poorly packed lunch can destroy a child's life and ruin their reputation. My daughter would actually like # 10!

I remember my dad made my lunch a few times. He would sneak chocolates in my lunch box when my mom wasn't looking. Yeah for Dads!!!

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

When I was at school in England, we had cooked school dinners, 2 courses, no snacks allowed.

Teaching in Canada I have come across many embarrassing lunches. Mom's pack glass bottles of juice, child throws backpack with lunch-pail inside, onto floor, bottle smashes....no lunch!

Lunch for some = baggie of cookies and water from the school fountain.

Luckily we have a healthy snack programme for the students.

I never DID find out who kept hiding the bologna sandwiches and apples around the classroom in 2009. They looked fine to me.

I well remember the day when my junior high school cafeteria decided to serve pig's liver for lunch.

Needless to say, not one single student ate the liver. There were two huge garbage cans filled with the uneaten liver.

Pig's liver was NEVER served again in the school lunch program.

Aubergine, that reminds ME of a High School Dinner when they served Black Pudding. This was in the '60's. My mam worked in Butcher's shop and told me how it was made, so of course I had to tell the girls at 'my' table and the news spread.....the Black Pudding went the way of your Pig's Liver even though most people had been eating and enjoying it until that moment. LOL
