My girlfriend has just participated in a LandMark Education Forum.... as quoted by the Rick Ross Institute the study of destructive cults, contraversial groups and movements to be the brainwasher of brainwashers

http://www.rickross.com/groups/landmark.html

Well my story is pretty simple, My girl friend and i have planned to becomae a family something normal as many people have for ages, she currently has a 5 yo daughter which i LOVE she was kinda bored with our monotmus relationship before she attended a three days esion from LandMark education and wow What a diffrence, she has decided to throw our relation ship out the window in search of true happines, levels that were encrusted in her mind by the program. She is now really confused and depressed and out the door....

anyone else have any similar situation?

I had a friend who was a clergyman in his church. He attended a seminar on getting in touch with your feelings for two weeks.

When he came back, he swore constantly (because you are not to hold anything back). He propositioned several women in his congregation (because you are supposed to express your feelings and desires in a natural way). He also stopped paying rent on his home (because he was no longer worshiping money).

Needless to say, he was shortly out of a job, out of a marriage, and out of a house.

These seminars are crap. Watch the old football movie, Semi-Tough. It rips on these kinds of these kind of things really hard.

Being raised by an Italian mother on the Mexican border made me realize that entrees are not edible without jalapenos, onions, green chilis, or garlic. Hence, I am the J-man.

Hey, Mr. Pennieman - I'm not a clergyman, never wanted to be one, don't do church, don't do seminars, none of that.

Yet still, in 1992 I was out of the church (never had one to attend anyway), out of a job (sold my business), out of a marriage (divorced), out of a house (property settlement), and out of luck!

So, I swore a lot, chased lots of women - caught a few - and, tried not to catch anything from them. Sounds like I was exactly like your clergyman friend - without ever having to go to one damned seminar or watch any football movies!

And it was the best damned time of my life!

Then again today, I still swear a lot, still never go to church, but have a job, a new wife (got married by a hippy on a boat in a snowstorm), a new house and a new life - and lucky & happy as hell! And, I remind my new wife every day just how damned lucky she is too!

Just how how damned weird is that?
