I have to admit, I don't frequent a lot of forums, but I remember years ago we used to play this game on The Spoof forums.
I'm a little hazy on the full details, but we can always make up the rules as we go along. I suggest a movie title, say " planes, Trains and Automobiles " and an actor from it, say John Candy. Now, the next person has to suggest the title of another John Candy movie and a different actor from that film and so on. So the next move might be: "Brewster's Millions" and the actor Richard Pryor. Keeping contemporary, the game will end when we reach the new James Bond movie "Casio Royale" So it's Richard Pryor Ready, Set, Go! |

Richard Pryor -> Superman 3 -> Christopher Reeve
Are we allowed to use the IMDB? I think it was semi-banned last time but I know that I used to cheat ![]() |

Christopher Reeve -> Superman 2 -> Gene Hackman
I can't see how we can ban it. I have to admit I used it too But I had always at least seen the film I referenced - I was never brave enough to pretend I hadn'tSo yes, people may use IMDB if they're completely stuck - but please try not to reference films you haven't seen or actors you've never heard of. You're only cheating yourself and your guilt will build up and build up until you can't keep it quiet any longer and then *blip* you're being taken away to the hospital in a white coat with the sleeves tied around the back. |

I can't even cheat my way out of this one. I've seen Waterworld and the Robin Hood one, but I don't know anyone else in them!

Mark,
Just off the top of my head, some Kevin Costner movies would include (besides the ones already mentioned): Bull Durham Fandango For the Love of the Game Tin Cup Field of Dreams Dances With Wolves The Postman Open Range Hope that helps you think of a link! (P.S. I think I have an unfair advantage in this one as I worked for United Artists for eight years and saw almost 200 movies a year back then.) |

Okay, it's been a day and a half with no reply. So, either no one is playing this or no one has heard of Kathy Bates. She won an Academy Award for best actress for the movie Misery (one of the few watchable movies based on a Stephen King novel).
So, since there has been no response, I offer: Kathy Bates.....Misery....James Caan (hint, he was in the first Godfather movie and Brian's Song and lots of other films and is not as obscure as Kathy Bates). |

Sorry - I don't know who James Caan is either!
Plus I've not seen any of the godfather movies! It was probably a bad idea for me to start this topic in the first place. I'm not much of a film buff! ![]() |

Okay, I guess I'll have to do this again (and I'll make it real easy)
James Caan.....Brian's Song.....Billy Dee Williams (huge hint: he played Lando Calrissian, original owner of the Millenium Falcon, in the original Star Wars movies - so I think you might have heard of some of those.) |

Harrison Ford....The Frisco Kid....Gene Wilder
(I could have gone Harrison Ford...Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade....Sean Connery, which would have put us right back to Bond, but I decided to be a little difficult) By the way, The Frisco Kid is the greatest comedy western of all time, with Ford helping a Rabbi (Wilder) travel across the U.S. to San Francisco in the wild, wild west days. Unfortunately, it is one of those films that no one ever heard of. |

Gene Wilder -> Young Frankenstein -> Marty Feldman
I hope this isn't too difficult. I had Stir Crazy -> Pryor originally, but realised he'd already been mentioned. |

Henry Fonda....The Cheyenne Social Club....Jimmy Stewart These are not obscure actors I'm naming! |
