'Syria Boycott Olympics' and another Olympic themed spoof from 'El Presidente'

The subjects are unfortunately very familiar from the past and have been absent for a long time until now. Previously they were associated with a group ofpeople who decided to break away and form their own sit called 'Satire World'.

El Presidente doesn't want his stories brought to the forum - they have not been but, I don't wonder at his wishes in view of the content. I can't help thinking that he might be happier on Satire World

Without commenting on individual examples, I'd just like to say that I find it a little disappointing (Yet hardly surprising) that one or two individuals appear to be only too willing to stir up the negative side of trans-Atlantic relations.

Yes, there were a couple of US writers who were given short shrift here, (British ones too) but they were in the minority. I think most US based writers will agree that they've been welcomed here. Likewise most Brits are made to feel welcome by the US contingent.

Trying to propogate bad feeling is fruitless, not to mention tiresome.

The bottom line here is that there are terms and conditions of use. If people abided by said T&Cs we'd never have problems.

Even if people do violate T&Cs, they're usually given plenty of leeway. I've fallen foul of the rules a few times, and been roundly rebuked for it. The thing is to learn by one's mistakes.

Only the worst and most persistent offenders receive bans.

That's a point worth bearing in mind.
