To Mark Lowton - Spoof Site Administrator-Editor:

Congratulations on selecting Queen Mudder and Ellie James to be the two Spoof forum moderators.

In my opinion, you could not have chosen two finer, more respected, and impartial individuals than them.

Well done sir.

Sincerely,
Abel

Absolutely agree, QM and Ellie are superb participants here and things will certainly improve after a long period of unnecessary (sometimes nasty) in-fighting.

Good luck to them and let's get those smiles back on our faces!

Two excellent choices. Has anyone wrote a spoof on the subject yet?

I've heard they are both relocating to Head office in Dorking and as part of their lucrative new contract have unlimited tea and chocolate biscuits during their shift.

Abel, RG, JO and EQ - Thanks.

Edit: And thanks to POM who was writing this as I was writing my thanks.

And RG, I only wish I could relocate to Dorking. It would beat the summers where I currently reside. Know what the ambient temp of my car read? 101. That's right. And, I don't even reside in the armpit of Texas.

Ellie

p.s. RG - Go for it. Write the spoof!

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

So when does all the moderating start?

Also, is there Extreme Moderating? If not, I imagine there eventually will be in these forums!

What I want to know, is will you both have flashing lights on the roof of your respective cars, and have "TO PROTECT AND SERVE" painted on the doors?

Come on, be honest...

Congrats

I know, it's an anagram: CNADNU. Or is it an acronym?

Canadian Nun And Doghandler Near Utah. That narrows it down.

Pinxit would know, he's good at sussing these things out.

Whomever he was, he raised the level here. He inspired me, and I could see that he "set the bar higher" for for many of you as well. I don't think Skoob has ever been so productive. Never seen so many wonderfully structured and genuinely funny stories; two or three per day, and he and Erskin on the anagrams (or whatever) was an education. If that intellect is gone, it's really unfortunate. That kind of talent is so rare. Oh well, I guess I'll just give my hairy snatch a scratch.

Why is he a "bastard" Erskin?

Me? Productive? You must be joking. Writing crap like I've been doing for the last few days is hardly productive. More like moronic. It takes no thought, no effort, and it's mind numbingly dull. It's all about racking up a few points. That's all.

As for 'raising the bar' - au contraire mon ami. More akin to burying the bar six feet underground and seeing who can limbo dig their way lower.

Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Or is it?

We should be told.

Skoob.

Skoob - I imagine it'll be a lot like this:

Neighborhood Watch Trailer

(Now that I know it has the guy from The IT Crowd, I'll actually watch the movie.)

Hi Ellie

Just one thing - in your newly ordained role as a moderator, do you think you could possibly find it within your kind heart to inform some of these flickwits that I'm not one of the bad guys?

I take more crap than most, and with good grace, but some people here need to know that me and my slathering gang of rabid baby killers have the best interests of the site and its contributors at heart.

Thanks

Skoob.

Just so you know Skoob, and I know Ellie's watching; using the word "slather" is a "spelling flame", a form of trolling, where the user intends to use a mistake in grammar or spelling to make fun of the intellect of another. (I believe others have done that as well) It is against the rules here. I'm not certain whether an apology is required, but I know Ellie will get to the bottom of it.

Calm down Chris.

I picked the word up from the Danton fella. I thought it was his invention.

Now then, let us take a peek into the world of unacceptable internet protocol.

Shall we dance mon ami?

At this point, I can raise up just about every bad thing you have ever said about other people here. You may have deleted things - but others have copied and pasted them.

Well, mon ami?

You wanna dance?

Regards

Skoob.
