It'll take more than that my good friend to extinguish the sweet Iberian fire that sets the hearts ablaze of sweet Dona Maria, the dark eyed gypsy girl from La Andaluz and the hot blooded spanner monkey from Tower Hamlets.

Would all great Neptune's oceans extinguish the hot fire in my veins when I dream of her scented kisses?

More chance of Meltdown McAnus sending you his Canadian lotto winnings you cold hearted old bleeder! x

By the clappers! I appear to have stumbled upon some sort of Indian rope trick! What the heck is going on? No...on second thoughts, don't tell me...Ignorance is bliss and all that.

By the way, I don't speak Mexican.

^^^^^^^^ Fervent anti cyber bullying campaigner and my beautiful gypsy Portuguesa who has secretely confided in me that she thinks Ellis is a ridiculously coiffured bummer who deserves to be hung and hung high*

Now then this rather sublime piece of tuneage has a very special place in my oil-flecked cockney heart as I heard it playing softly one morning around 4.00am when I awoke in a hospital bed in January 2011 having just had a cancerous tumour carved from my meekly protesting young rectum by a rather beautiful young bowel surgeon from Sri Lanka who's name is so bewilderingly long that I just used to call him "mate"

Perhaps it was sent to soothe me by an angel. I'd like to think so my friends So I dedicate this one to the highly skilled and ridiculously overworked doctors of the mighty London University Hospital and the beautiful, softly spoken nurses without whom these gentlemen wouldn't even be able to find their way to the little boy's room.

My friends I give you The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Thank you

Here's a little gem I saw one night on Channel 4. He's the son of Richard Digance but don't hold that against him! His name is Nick Helm. A rising star.

Overly aggressive club singer

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

I like everything he does. To answer your question...he's not known for his music. He does it as a hobby. He used to front a band way back when, but really lacked the ego to take it any further.

He writes songs in the same way one would write poetry. To express feelings. I am lucky enough to know the real meaning behind his songs. If you listen to his song Chalk, that was inspired by something I told him. And, really, the whole thing pretty much sums up the past 6 years of my life.

Lovely job Miss Ellie! Music to me ears and no error love.

Funnily enough that song title had real deep connotations for me as a few years back I started to believe I was a bit of billiard chalk. I went to the doc about it and he told me to get to the end of the cue. Absolutely true that is!

Now you probably wont believe this ladies and gents but just like Miss Ellie up there I've got a friend who once wrote a song for me! I answered the trumpet one night and this is what took place, no word of a lie:

BEST FRIEND - Alright Clivey boy? I've just written a luvvlee choon based on sumfink you told me and 'opefully it'll encapsulate the last 6 years of your life squire.

ME - You really are a complete and utter bummer aincha?

BF - Yes. Yes I am.

ME - Good. Now GET OUT!

Now this 'ere melody is called The Lambeth Walk and once again carries a really profound meaning for yours truly as I once went out with a nice little bit of posh from Pimlico who used to ask me to say "Lambeth" over and over as I used to drop my aitches and and would call it Lamberf. Still do as a matter of thackt. Anyways this sort used to say to me..."Clivey say Lambeth. Go on say Lambeth. I love it when you say Lambeth! It's so funny! Go on say it. Go on say Lambeth Clivey"

She's dead now folks. It's what I would have wanted.

Funnily enough I was born just across the river from Lambeth in Westminster and on quiet still nights we could hear the unmarried mums over there beating their kids up. Absolutely kosher that is.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this little cockney anthem and like me find yourselves wondering if Robert Lindsay ever made a balls up of that little trick he does with his bowler hat and ended up getting mugged off by the crowd. Blimey I do 'ope so!

Oi!

Sister Morphine - The Rolling Stones.

Taken from arguably their finest album Sticky Fingers this track aches and writhes with the stricken addict in his death throes.

With Jagger's fine vocal combined with the mournful guitar work from the mighty Ry Cooder you can almost see the doomed man tearing at the track marks in his arms during his final struggle.

Sweet Cousin Cocaine?

It's being so cheerful that keeps me going really folks

Here's something a bit different. Ennio Morricones classic......

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Or alternatively I like to call it....The Gary Lineker, The John Terry and the Carlos Tevez. Mind you, the song has nothing to do with football.
