Assistance calls from Inch:

I found a 110 film cartridge from 1970, in my hovel's attic yesterday.

I have no idea if there is any films taken on it or not.

Can any of the genius's on the Spoof, have any idea if I could take it to... er... Boot's? Jessops? somewhere they can find out for me, and would it be possible to develop the film after so long?

Be great if I could, it would bring back some memories. (or embarrassments)


Oh, another request please.

My not being very good at maths you know, blown if I can get the same answer each time I try!

If 3 people, were sentenced to 17 years each, for carrying out a total of 365 crimes - how long would they have been sentenced to for each crime?

I would think that there are still photographers with dark rooms who still develop film like that. Something about the dark room and the smell of the chemicals for a photographer is still alluring.

At least, there are still ones like that here, in the US.

I think the answer to the question would be 21 days.

17 days per offence, but with an added four days to account for leap years.

Or something.

Off the top of me head and that.

Thanks for the arithmetic advice, I got eight different figures from eight attempts at working it out, and none of them correct.

I'll look and ask around when I'm in town about the film.

Inch - be careful you never know what might be on that film. Think about it - did you leave your socks on? Or, of course, it could just be fishing holiday snaps.

What might be on it has concerned me a tad.

Boot's took the film to see if anything's on it, and develop it if so.

It'll be ready (if anything on it) on the 13th December for me to collect. £5.95.

See that date again... the 13th.
13th May had cardiac op.
13th June collapsed back in again
13th August Sent no end of stuff to Spoof by mistake for blog.
13th October Dentist visit, refused to do root canal work on me in my condition
13th Dec - due, Boot's film to collect, Anticoagulation tests QMC 1000hrs, Cardiac sternum assessment admission QMC, 1140hrs.

I seem to recollect that years ago, in a drink infested but happy state, I did indulge in using the camera at a party... but have no photographs of the event, oh dear.

When I get out of hospital, the film (if any photo's on it), should be ready for collection at Boot's.

Perhaps I can pay someone to collect them for me... just in case?

Walked to town yesterday, as the unions parader's were going in the same direction, one of them stood on me corn! - Just thought I'd mention that.

I'm back home again. (Well I call it home?)

On the way back from QMC I called into Boots, to collect the photographs, full of excitement and anticipation. I looked at the 24 shots absolute nothingness, just like modern art of the 60's, cubism without definition. Just photo's of pale colours without shape. Shame.

Waiting for further appointments at cardiac and dermatology at QMC.
