It should provide for some comic moments.

You can watch my governor (and nemesis) Rick Perry win people over by his fakeness.

We're sick of him here in Texas. I don't know of a single Texan who wants him as governor, and we certainly don't want him as president either.

Ellie

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

I'm not that up with American politics but I do listen to the Alex Jones Infowars radio show from Austin on the internet. He certainly doesn't seem to like Rick Perry! Have you ever heard his show? He doesn't pull any punches.

Tommy - Never heard of that show, but will check it out! I did join Texans Against Perry a few months ago on Facebook so I get an article a day from papers all over the US telling the rest of the US what a twat he is!

You guys really should care because he might very well get the nomination, and that would be HORRIBLE if he is president. For us, for you guys, for the world. Just really bad! (We'd never be lacking for material as spoofers, but still....)

He's a back stabbing TWAT! My dad's done business with the man. He can tell you what a back stabber he is, and my father's a devout conservative republican.

If you like Austin music, check out Austin360.com They play really great music all day long.

Ellie

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

I had to post this. The following comes from ordinary Texans asking questions on Facebook about Rick Perry, on Texans Against Rick Perry:

Is god pleased with the way you are campaigning? (He said God told him to run for President)

Where's your Birth Certificate???

Are you f*%$#@ serious?

Why are you so smarmy?

How is cutting the fire budget in Texas working out for you?

Are you packing heat this evening? (he jogs with a gun so he can shoot at coyotes)

As President, what would you say about the TX governor floating the idea of breaking away from the union?

Are you related to "Perry The Platypus"?

There were more, but those were my favorites!!!

Ellie

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

Ellie:

Would you prefer to give the current totally clueless occupant of the White House 4 more years to continue to screw up the country?

For example, the USFWS may put a small lizard on the ESL that could shut down the west Texas oil/gas fields, destroying 27,000 jobs!

It would NOT shut down the oil and gas economy. Not when the price of oil is the highest it's been in some time. Not when the oil and gas industry are making profits. And not just marginal profits....MAJOR ones.

The reason why America doesn't have jobs is because corporations are greedy. They don't want to make enough to give their employees a decent living with benefits, but they want to line their pockets with more than they really need!

There are so many tax loopholes in corporate America that they don't pay taxes. And, that's shit. No one wants to pay taxes....but it's a fact of life. And I don't mind it when it's paying for hospitals, schools, firefighters, etc. What pisses me off is that corporate America won't help out.

Do I want another 4 years of bullshit? Hell no! But, it's not all Obama's fault. Congress and their uncompromising, partisan games had a LOT to do with his failure. And, most of the shit that he had to deal with came from Bush, and some of Bush's shit came from Clinton. Jon Stewart did a brilliant timeline about that, and I think we can blame a lot of today's shit on a president from a long time ago (can't remember who, exactly.)

I'd much rather see Romney get the nomination than Perry. Perry is not a good person. He campaigned in Texas to lesson the output of coal in the refineries in Waco (which if the wind blows South, it goes to Austin. If it blows North, it comes here.) So, what happened? The minute he got in office, his good friend and a MAJOR contributor to his campaign got his wish....who was that friend? The CEO of TXU Energy. No coal regulations...in fact, they built more.

WIll America collapse because a vast majority of us wants clean air and water? NO! Corporate America just makes you think that.

Believe me you DON'T want Perry as president. I disagreed with a lot of what Bush believed in, but I wasn't this vocal or this energized for him. I believe Bush really believed that what he was doing was right. Whereas Perry only believes what is in his best interest to believe in, and when it's all said and done...I think Rick Perry only cares about Rick Perry.

Oh. They've encased him in Carbonite. He should be quite well protected. If he survived the freezing process, that is.

Ellie:

I broke a rule tonight by venturing a political question and I received a Democratic liberal tirade.

President Bush may have been a terrible president, but President Obama has had almost 3 years, as the new manager in town, to rectify the situation he voluntered to fix. He is simply incompetent, an arm waver, liar, and when in trouble plays the blame game. I have seen these type of individuals like President Obama during my working career. They are the ones that are full of bullshit!

You may be right about Texas Governor Perry being not what he seems, which the next few Republican debates may expose. Your description of Gov. Perry being all for himself describes Pres. Obama perfectly! I would prefer a Gov. Romney or Gov. Huntsman Republican also.

I used to be a Scoop Jackson Democrat but became an Independent/reluctant Republican when I began to listen carefully to people like Democratic Senator Kerry when he ran for president.

President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have moved the Democratic party to the far left, that has lost sight of what the USA is all about. Their way or the highway e.g. socialist big government, regulate everything, big spending and high taxes.

Respectfully,

PoM

POM,

Truth be told, I'm an independent. (Even though my dad says I'm a socialist)

My father, who is in the oil business, and who has been on the state board of educator certification that met in Austin about once a month worked with Perry a lot.

In fact, Perry called him once and offered him the job of Commissioner of Education of Texas. He turned it town flat....and the reason why is because Perry stabbed the prior commissioner in the back.

Romney is a better candidate that Perry. That's all I'm trying to say.

I am a teacher, and the educational system under Bush was a lot better. Bush really meant it when he said he cared about Texas children, teachers and education. His wife was a librarian and she was even known to call him out on some things if she didn't agree with her husband. I didn't agree with other things, but as teacher I appreciated some of the things he did. I can't agree with anything Perry has done in regards to education. Education in Texas now is a joke...even higher education.

I didn't mean to go on a tirade....It happens sometimes when it's late and I've had too much coffee.

You do have to admit that the thought of asking a presidential candidate if they are related to Perry the Platypus (a disney cartoon character) would be funny. We may not agree on anything else, but that's at least funny right?

As a cartoon, Phinneas and Ferb is very well written and makes me laugh. I also like how there's a musical number in almost every episode.

Ferb is my favorite. Candance is my daughter's. But sometimes, out of the blue, she will look over to her side and say, "Oh...there you are, Perry!" She's 5! If I can find a t-shirt with that written on it, I will buy it.
