The US Treasury is having trouble printing the monumental sums of money needed to stimulate the economy. "The defective bills - which could number into the tens of millions, potentially representing billions of dollars in face value - will have to be burned, they say.

How can you tell if your bills are fake?

1. There's a nose above the pyramid, instead of an eye.

2. Instead of "This note is legal tender", the fake bills read "This note is Love Me Tender" & there's a picture of Graceland on the back.

They're only printed on ONE side.

The bills are pink.

Any odd denomination, other than a one or a five dollar bill, is definitely a fake!

Eleventyeight is not an even number

Dollars has no e.

Kim Jong Il $20 bill looks a little unlikely.

The numbers are in Spanish.

The bald eagle has been replaced by a bald beagle.

George Washington wearing a beehive wig.

Abraham Lincoln has a mustache & goatee.

All the denominations of bills are different colours - just like the Mickey Mouse Canadian Bills.

Incidentally - one of the Canadian coins has as picture on it of the Queen with a bare behind. 'Tis true as I live and breath.

'Federal Reserve Gift Voucher' appears under the $20 bit.

Where it says "The Federal reserve promise to pay the bearer the sum of" it now says "The Federal reserve promise to laugh at you if you want to see the gold this note represents."

Above the "Great Seal of the United States of America" is the picture of a great big seal.

In the lower left corner of the front, you can make out "Monopoly copyright of Parker Bros."

In the bottom left margin it's printed, "Printed in P.R.C.". But that could be a genuine bill, no?
