Yeah right.

They were dishonest.

Ask Ed Balls what he thinks of Cameron's reference to him yesterday, for starters.

Ask the Scottish Government about Cameron's reference to the Libyan.

Your country needs you. An insult to those massacred from 1914 to 1918 care of their government.

No, please don't get me started.

Mrs Thatcher has been re-incarnated before she's even gone. Her name be David.

Listen to the Colonel.

As I've said before, I'm not a fan of the SuBo stuff but your political satire has been spot on so far.

I tend to leave it alone to a degree because I reckon it's QM's domain, but you approach it in a different way - and a good way.

If it does get knocked back - which I doubt, because Mark's pretty fair - you can always e-mail it or post it on Twitter or Facebook.

Me? I look forward to reading it - as I said, I think your political satire is spot on.

Sincerely

Skoob.

The subo stuff is old hat for me now. Probably won't do more on that subject.

Still struggling in case I cross the fine line between satire and blooming all out attack. Maybe tomorrow I will find the inspiration. I have a novel approach swimming in my head for this one. Will it sink or swim, not sure.

Thanks for your kind words as usual.

NMC --

I do hope you will continue writing some of your political satire pieces. As a colonist, I do find it one way of understanding what people are thinking in the UK.

I believe the SuBo stuff has more or less had its day in the sun... unless Elsewhere does something truly outrageous. It's such a narrow genere of satire perhaps a lot of the readers found it difficult to follow.

Looking forward to more political stuff from you.

Love and Purrs,

Aubergine

I was drawn to this comment, more fool me!
Never ever spout patriotism to me Cameron.
It will always be the last refuge of scoundrels.
I am so tired of Eton educated idiots, propped up by another privately educated idiot, Clegg.
I am so angry that I cannot describe it.
Oh! fuck it! I think that I am in trouble again!

Why am I on this Earth? God, perhaps you made a mistake.

Hi AU

Thanks for your kind words. I do hope we are able to help you and others to understand a little more about the UK.

What you need to know is that the Coalition Government here are carrying out a huge deception on the UK population. They constantly push the message that the economic mess in the UK is entirely the fault of the previous Labour government.

They say they only found the true level of our national debt when they took over government. This is a false assertion since all the figures were available to them before the General Election in May. This is fact. The truth is they were always going to slash spending, no matter who gets hurt along the way.

My dilemma here is hundreds of thousands are going to suffer in the UK. I don't think this is suitable material for satire. This is what will happen in the UK, maybe not in the short term but without a doubt in the next few years.

Back to the days of "Billy Elliot" I'm sorry to say.

You may well be right in all that NMC..

Although millions of UK voters would totally disagree with you..

Or partly disagree with you..

Or seek a more balanced political perspective...

But OK!

Let's presume you are right.

Just for arguments sake:-

As a satirist it now becomes your fundamental duty to warn us of the perils that lie ahead for our once great Nation - under this evil, right-wing, Thatcherite inspired, Eton & Westminster educated, destructive, class ridden, toff dominated Coalition Government.

Others will then read you and make up their own minds...

I didn't know you were a bowel specialist AU. Mind you, that would come in handy when thinking about politics.

Most countries are going to have to make savings. Way of the developed world at present. Could be worse. We could be in the bigger part of the world where starvation, war-desecration, floods, droughts, pestilence and death are everyday realities.

What is irritating though is all the bollocks put about by the Tory press about the public sector being awash with money (I work in the public sector and I know that's a grotesque smear) and it all being Labour's fault.

Why not just say sensibly that there have to be savings, without peddling lies and generalisations? That wouldn't sell papers to the simple-minded.

Maybe, rather than just having a go at the government, it is the blurring of truth perpetrated by the mass media and popular 'culture' that needs satire.

This Internet Connection that I have is a right ... Ahhh!
I have listened to the arguments, but I know what is right and what is wrong.
The fear is very real, these are bastards we are dealing with.
Follow me and I will lead you to oblivion! Ha!
