I've noticed this many times.

When certain people (such as John Winters/Aspartame Boy)posts on the forums my computer will sometimes crash or web pages on any other sites I'm on will not load.

Anyone else have a problem with this.

I'm using Firefox.

Mark?

Look Budda you have your own thread now. For God sake man, what more do you want? You are more virulent than the flu.

If it's only happening on certain pages, it could be to do with a the adds that are displayed along side the stories. If you've not upgraded FF to 3, try that. If you have, investigate getting an ad blocker (Google will be your friend here). You should be able to find a free one for Firefox.

This is my serious expression :o|

What kind of crashing are you talking about? Does Firefox bring up its quality feedback window and have to restart, or does it just freeze up?

Do you get a little pop up about flash exceptions or somesuch?

I can't see it being caused directly by The Spoof as nothing has been changed for months.

Thanks, Iain.
Fuck all use but it's the thought that counts.
Only kidding!

Mark, I probably should've emailed you privately but then I'd be called gay.

Anyways, it's just that I've never noticed it on any other sites really. Sometimes I've got the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. Other times Firefox says it's timed out - but it then affects any other pages I have running in other windows!

Seems to be set off when someone is posting into the forums. Thats why I blamed Aspartame boy. Nothing personal, it's just that the connection timed out exactly at the times he posted on! Maybe it's the aspartame stuff. He did warn me.

Maybe it's that shitty McAfee I have installed? Maybe it doesn't like theSpoof?

It's probably just a coincidence. A weird coincidence.

If it happens again and it's something naughty you've been up to, I'll just come around to your house and shave your mustache off as punishment!

Yes, I'm sure it's a coincidence. A webpage can't do what you're describing, the worst it could do is hang your machine, but it would have to be a deliberate thing.
