Who, in your extremely humble opinion, has been the best Doctor Who?

I think that Mr Tennant has been the best so far, but Carina, who is wrong, said that she thinks that stupid Northern git Mr Eccleston 'fits her bill'. (Don't ask)

I am able to watch the show with an unbiased eye toward regionalisms. All you limeys sound the same. But I do agree that Tennant is the best of the two I've known.

erm.. let me think.
CE- quality actor capable of conveying huge amounts by stance alone and DT- skinny little bloke, always plays the likeable one in lightweight productions.

I just dont know- im not geeky enough.

Well, he's not.
The storylines have backed themselves into a corner. They have no choice but to regenerate him soon.
They are picking the new one now, I reckon.
We ought to be running a book on which dweeb will be next, moving on, not dwelling in the past.
They'll pick another looker, it's worked well for them, but with a "darker" personality.
Although, it won't be hard to get "darker" than David Tennant, will it, the green care bear is "darker" than him.
And deeper.

I heard it was going to be James Nesbitt.

Well, I like Pertwee (reruns, didn't see the originals I don't think tho I remember watching Avengers) and loved Baker but honestly liked Eccleston quite a bit, felt he caught all the best of the Doctors and still managed to seem a Time Lord...not just another poxy actor. His relationship with Rose touched on a lot of things one wonders about just galavanting off with some alleged 'Time Lord', gave it a reality base...well, if Cardiff counts. Tennant's okay but I agree, a regeneration is surely in the works.
