I want to just enter some notes now about how I plan to add 12 million jobs to the U.S. economy. I mean, it's time for me to figure all this out. I'm a business icon, after all; a veritable one-man, company-producing, job-manufacturing machine.
Getting my calculator out now. OK. Let's look at the typical McDonald's store. If you figure it's open 24 hrs per day, and there are 6 full-timers in the store per shift, that's 24 full-time jobs per store.
Now if I, Mitt Romney, personally start 500,000 new stores, that's 12 million jobs right there! Hey--maybe this isn't so tough. OK--thinking here. 500,000 stores seems like it might be a lot, though if you divide that by 50 states...using the calculator here...that's only 10,000 stores per state. (Wonder if we can add more states?)
