I've just caught up with this form the This is Scunthorpe web site:
Two candidates vying for the role of Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner outlined their priorities during a visit to Scunthorpe.
Labour's Lord Prescott and Conservative candidate Matthew Grove met constituents ahead of November's election.
Lord Prescott said he remembered when CCTV cameras were first introduced and at the time was not convinced by them. However, he said spending time with operatives at the Scunthorpe control room had shown what a valuable resource they were in the fight against crime.
A load of tosh of course, but I think I'll win and get the job, what with the Conservatives making a hash of government and annoying so many workers with the cuts and increases in indirect taxes, especially the crooked lying increase in VAT.
