It's so heart-warming to learn of things that folk have done to help me be remembered…
"Janet has fixed it for Surrey Heath Museum, as four of the late Sir Jimmy Savile's Camberley half-marathon medals are going on display there.
When the Friends of Surrey Heath Museum discovered the celebrity philanthropist's medals would be sold at auction, Treasurer Janet Perrott snapped up the prizes and donated them to the museum in a gesture befitting of Sir Jimmy's charitable legacy and kind nature.
The lot, which came to a total of £150, included all four of his Camberley half-marathon medals as well as his running numbers.
Ms Perrott, 72, was more than happy to donate the medals to the museum."
How's about that, then?
