Hi Diary!
I'm Carla Bruni Sarkozy. (I suppose I should introduce myself even if it is to my own diary.)
The Husband's advisors have told me to start keeping a diary. Oh mon dieu! It will apparently one day be a historical document, just like Marie-Antoinette's last stool. (Hey! Don't get dirty now. I meant 'stool' as in chair.)
The Husband, as you know, is Monsieur le President de France - Nicolas Sarkozy.
That makes me First Lady of France.

Will you believe me, Diary, this was what The Husband said to me the other day? Well, it was the other night, but am I allowed to speak of nocturnal activities to you? Anyway, we had a giggle, him and me, especially as he bit on an ice cube and his upper denture fell out.
